NICORETTE® Lozenge

How many nicotine lozenges can you take in a day ?

Most people take between 8 and 12 Nicorette® Lozenges per day to help keep nicotine cravings at bay. You should not take more than 15 lozenges per day

How long can you take Nicorette Lozenges for ?

As soon as you feel ready, you should start to reduce the number of lozenges you use until you have stopped taking them completely. This could be after a few weeks or a few months.

What’s the difference between lozenges and microtab ?

Did you know that smokers are 25% more likely to quit using combination therapy versus single NRT? So, if you’re struggling to quit using just one NRT product, it might be time to try the Nicorette® Dual Support method.

Combine your Nicorette® InvisiPatch with the Nicorette® Lozenge for added support in curbing your nicotine cravings. The Nicorettre® InvisiPatch provides sustained levels of background nicotine, while the Nicorette Lozenge offers relief from any breakthrough cravings. It’s one of the most effective ways to help you quit for good.

Strength

Nicorette® Lozenges are available in two strengths – 2mg or 4mg. The 2mg lozenge is suitable if you smoke 20 or less cigarettes a day, while 4mg is best for smokers who smoke more than 20 cigarettes per day.

Nicorette® Microtabs only come in one strength but vary in dosage depending on your daily smoking habits:

Use one every hour if you smoke 20 cigarettes or less.

Use two Microtabs every hour if you smoke more than 20 cigarettes.

Helpful but noisy packet and would prefer a lower 1mg version

This product has help me on my path the quitting. Unfortunately i was not able to go cold turky of nicotine and this product helps break the cigarette part of the mental conditioning associated with long term smoking. What i found however that after relapsing folloing three weeks cold turky was that 2mg was way more than i needed to help quell the cravings. I would have preferred a 1mg or even 0.5 mg version at the time. Now my body has normalized to the 2 mg, but i would have preferred a lower dose option so i could stay closer to kicking the nicotine part of the addiction while kicking the physical cigarette part. Also the packet is very noisy in my pocket as i walk.

5 years on Nicorette cooldrops

I did swap smoking for Nicorette cooldrops. From one addiction to another, this can't really count as a success.... After such a long time one my think it should be easier, but it isn't. For over 5 years I'm hooked on Nicorette cooldrops. How do I quit Nicorette?

Hi Toby. In accordance with the Information Leaflet contained in the pack, if you find it difficult to cut down and stop using our product, talk to your health care professional who is the most qualified to provide you with the appropriate medical advice and support.

Highly recommend it

I have smoked for almost 37 years. I have tried other products and was not successful. I have not smoked for the last 5 weeks and it is getting easier every day. The icy mint is very refreshing which helped. I do drink lots of water - due to hiccups and sometimes indigestion caused by the lozenges, but drinking more water is a good thing :) I was smoking 25 cigarettes a day, initially I was having 12 x 4mg lozenges a day. I am now down to 10. My smell has returned and I am amazed at how much my coughing is decreasing. Thanks for having these available
