Quit Smoking with Dual Support

You can improve your chance of quitting by using the nicotine patch and another product, like NICORETTE® QuickMist, Gum, Lozenge or Inhalator, when you need extra support to fight cravings.

HOW IT WORKS

If using one nicotine replacement therapy product isn’t enough to help you quit, our Dual Support offers you a better chance of quitting for good.*

With Dual Support, two stop smoking aids are used:

  1. Patches are used to reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings throughout the day.
  2. Gum, QuickMist, Inhalator or Lozenges are used to relieve breakthrough cravings.

WHY USE IT

Research shows that using two quit-smoking aids at the same time increases your chances of quitting compared to using just one.1 If you experience very strong cravings or have tried unsuccessfully to quit in the past using only a single product, using two products can really help you to stay on track*2

15 or more a day

if you smoke more than 15 cigarettes a day and are prepared to quit immediately, you can use one Step 1 (25mg/16hr) patch per day for 12 weeks AND.

  • 2mg gum
  • Chew 1 piece of 2mg gum when there’s an urge to smoke. Use no more than 12 pieces in one day.

OR

  • 2mg lozenge
  • Dissolve 1 2mg lozenge when there’s an urge to smoke. Use no more than 12 lozenges in one day.

OR

  • Inhalator

Then when a Patch is no longer needed, gradually reduce the number of 2mg Gums or 2 mg Lozenges until you no longer need them.
